Repeat Prescriptions
Written requests for repeat prescriptions should be left in the collection box in the reception area or faxed. If you would like your prescription posted to you, please enclose a self-addressed envelope.
Alternatively you can order online via the link at the top of this page after completing a simple registration.
Repeat prescription orders by telephone are not accepted (unless there is no alternative) to minimise the potential for medication errors.
Collections
Please allow 48 working hours for requests to be processed and remember to take half days, weekends and bank holidays into account. We will contact you if there is query over your medication and it may be referred to the GP or nurse in which case the processing time is prolonged beyond 48 hours.
You can collect your prescription from reception or you can approach a pharmacy to pick up the prescription on your behalf. Please let us know of this arrangement.
For certain medications there is a possibility of having a six-month batch held at the chemist. This can prove more convenient. It is not suitable for all patients/medications such as those on anti-depressants or controlled medication and those who dosages change often
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
