**CORONAVIRUS**- NO ENTRY TO EITHER SURGERY FROM 16/3/20 UNLESS YOU HAVE A FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENT-
Coronavirus- Surgery update - updated March 16/3/20
The Haiderian team is ready, committed and fully prepped to man the frontlines in these troubled times but we need your help.
From Monday 16/3/20, for the first time in 40 years of service, Haiderian closes it doors to everyone except patients who have a face to face booked appointment. DO NOT come to either surgery unless you have an appointment.
WE ARE OPEN. Our phone lines are open and manned for queries and bookings and we remain fully staffed but we need to protect staff and vulnerable patients so DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY UNLESS YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT.
Contacting us by phone
Please be sensible and call at less busy times so urgent calls are not delayed e.g after 12pm and avoiding Monday. Please also think, is your call important or can you get the information somewhere else eg online.
Contacting us by email
Please use the e-consults on this website's homepage for help and advice.
Share this message far and wide with family, friends and others who are patients.
We will then email you account details. Instead of coming in with photo ID you can send us a CLEAR picture of yourself holding your passport photo page open or driving license next to your face.
Alternatively sign up for the nhs app
You can then request your medication online and book appointments (note appointment booking is temporarily suspended).
Again sign up to online services or the NHS app and request medications online, stating your preferred pharmacy. Otherwise post or drop request through the letterbox- DO NOT COME INTO THE SURGERY. In exceptional cases older people can phone through requests or email them to email@example.com.
Collecting Prescriptions/referrals/blood forms etc.
If you have a prescription to collect please call us and nominate a pharmacy. We will send it there on this occasion and in future it will go there electronically. DO NOT come to the surgery.
Your referrals or blood forms or medical certificates will be texted or emailed to you. If you don’t have a mobile or email we will post them. Please ensure we have your correct mobile number. Please sign up to online services so we have your verified email- see above.
Our appointment system has been overhauled in line with new guidance. Call the surgery as usual if you have an health need that requires attention to make a telephone triage appointment. The doctor will call you. Again do not come in. The doctor will then offer you a face to face appointment if necessary or perform a video consultation- again please make sure you have a working mobile.
You can also use e-consults on our homepage www.haiderian.co.uk for self help and advice.
You may be receiving texts with a link to a covid19 questionnaire. This is not a hoax. Please complete and submit. Again do not come to the surgery if you have symptoms.
If you have a fever or cough and are otherwise well do not call GP or 111 and stay at home for 7 days. If you are unwell and getting worse then call 111. DO NOT visit the surgery.
Limited nursing procedures (child immunisations etc..) will be going ahead subject to triage (via text questionnaire or telephone call)
Please sit at least 1.5 meters away from other patients. we have reconfigured the waiting room to allow for this.
Please do not arrive too early as this could cause a bottleneck at reception
Please do not bring multiple family members to the appointment. If you can, come alone or with one primary carer.
Please wash your hands before and after the visit and use tissues to catch any sneezes/coughs
Finally to the elderly and housebound and those with underlying conditions- we have not forgotten you. Despite the worrying language and media coverage inferring the vulnerable are collateral damage, YOU remain our priority and we will fight for your care and wellbeing. Haiderian has not forgotten you.
By working together and taking individual responsibility we will overcome this. Please follow the guidance, stay safe and look out for those who are vulnerable.
