In more detail:

MOUNJARO ELIGIBILITY

New guidance, as you will have heard in the media recently, has advised that Mounjaro should move to primary care.

This however needs to be commissioned and is not a core part of our contract. Unfortunately, locally this has still not been commissioned.

Once it has been commissioned, there are still very strict criteria on who would be eligible. Therefore, we would ask that you carefully look at this before contacting us:

BMI >40 PLUS 4 of the 5 below… You MUST HAVE 4 - lower than this will not count!!

1. Cardiovascular disease e.g. angina or previous heart attack.
2. Hypertension – high blood pressure.
3. Dyslipidaemia – significantly raised cholesterol which is uncontrolled.
4. Obstructive sleep apnoea – this must be diagnosed and not suspected.
5. Type 2 diabetes.

We are obviously keen to make this available to as many eligible people as possible. But we are restricted by these guidelines.

It is hoped that this may be commissioned as a local service which will also address weight loss as a whole, and not just medication.

COVID-19 IMMUNISATION BOOKINGS - Anyone eligible can book their Covid vaccinations via the NHS website, by downloading the NHS App, or by calling 119 for free if they can’t get online.  There are walk in sites available throughout BHR - https://northeastlondon.icb.nhs.uk/wintervaccinations  

EVENING AND WEEKEND APPOINTMENTS - are now available to book at Haiderian Medical Centre as part of the South PCN Extended Access service.  Click on the link to book: Book an appointment (herohealth.net)
