PCN Staff

Through the Havering South PCN Network, we have the below services available to our patients:

  • Physiotherapist - can diagnose and treat muscular and joint conditions. Advise on how to manage your condition.  Refer you on to specialist service.
  • Pharmacist - provides support to the team with medication and prescription queries.
  • Health and Wellbeing Coach - support people to increase their ability to self-manage, motivation levels and commitment to change their lifestyle.
  • Dietician - can diagnose and treat nutritional conditions.  Help you make changes to prevent and support long-term conditions.  Support you to maintain a healthy weight.
  • Podiatrist: diagnose and treat a wide range of mobility and medical conditions of the feet and lower limbs.
  • Care co-ordinator - help to co-ordinate and navigate care across the health and care system, helping people make the right connections, with the right teams at the right time.
  • Social Prescriber: connect patients to community-based support, including activities and services that meet practical, social, and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing. This includes connecting people to statutory services for example housing, financial and welfare advice.

District Nurses 

The practice is supported by a wonderful team of District Nurses who can help support housebound patients.

Community Matron

A community matron is a specialist trained nurse who can visit patients at home who have complex medical needs. 

The GP can refer you to the community matron but patients can also refer themselves by contacting the number or email below

Health Visitor

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

Doctors

  • DR SEEMA HAIDER

    Female

    Dr Seema Haider is a GP Partner and graduated from UCL. She completed her GP training at Guys & St Thomas' GP training scheme in London. She is a GP trainer and graduated with a Distinction in Medical Education. She has been involved in Leadership positions previously within the CCG and received an award recognising her as a future NHS Clinical Leader.

  • DR NARINDER KULAR

    Female

    Dr Kular is a GP Partner at the practice. She is also a GP trainer and is involved in training GP registrars. She is well liked by patients and very conscientious. She is known for being incredibly efficient and helpful within the practice and is an asset to the team.

  • DR KAVITHA SUBRAMANIAN

    Female

    Dr Subramanian is a Salaried GP. She has completed her training at Romford GP VTS training scheme and was a GP Registrar at the practice. We are delighted to have her as a permanent member of staff. Her working days are Mondays and Tuesdays.

  • DR SANJIV YOGARAJAH

    Dr Sanjiv Yogarajah is a Salaried GP at the practice. He has an interest in medical education and is involved in teaching at Bart’s medical school. He is also is involved with teaching and training within the practice. We are delighted to welcome him to our team

  • DR VICTORIA BAIN

    Dr Bain is another Salaried GP who was previously a GP Registrar here at the practice. We are delighted that she too has now returned as a permanent member of staff. Her working day is Thursday.

Nurses

  • CATHERINE SMITH

    Female

    Cathy is a Nurse Prescriber and is able to prescribe a variety of medications as well as treat infections. She has a specialist interest in Diabetes and she is competent in initiating complex treatment including Insulin when needed. In addition, Cathy can deal with minor ailments, infections and contraception requests. Cathy is also a stop smoking specialist. She is able to give advice on diet and lifestyle changes for patients with High Cholesterol or who are trying to lose weight. Cathy is a good listener and particularly skilled in mental health care and talking to patients who may feel low in mood or anxious.

Practice Management

  • SARAH HAIDER

    BSc London MSc Manchester MIEM Milan Sarah is the Business Manager and Partner. She trained at CASS Business School in London followed by a dual Masters level accreditation at Universita Bocconi Milan and Manchester Business School in International Business and Economics. Sarah has been actively involved in NHS commissioning from the outset having been a board member of Havering Premier shadow CCG and also working in a lead role to increase patient engagement. Sarah is always happy to receive feedback on how to improve the practice and take it forward. Whilst she loves to hear your compliments and commendations, she is also your first port of call for complaints and constructive criticisms.

  • LAURA

    Laura joined us from the world of banking 7 years ago and has diligently worked her way up to the role of Reception Manager. She is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the clerical heart of the surgery. Feel free to informally raise any reception or admin issues with her and she will make sure the practice manager hears about it.

    Reception Manager. Lisa joined us in 2012 and due to her job performance was immediately earmarked for a management role. She is highly skilled in referrals and admin troubleshooting and takes a lead role in reception management with co manager Laura.

    BSc Economics

    Stefano studied Economics at the University of Modena, Italy, graduating in 2007 with distinction. He also has further qualifications in mechanical engineering and design. He is highly skilled in Information technology and manages the surgery’s IT and accounting systems.

Pharmacists

  • ANITA PATEL

    Female

    Anita is our friendly in-house Pharmacist who can assist you with medication queries, check your Blood Pressure and update your vaccinations e.g flu jab, shingles vaccine or pneumonia vaccine. She is on hand for any advice related to medications. She usually works on Wednesdays Fridays and she has been an excellent addition to our team. Anita is also our Clinical Performance, Compliance and Risk Manager. Her role is to ensure the practice is performing well and providing a good service.
