Many of you will know Dr Chowdhury who was our very conscientious GP registrar. She has now fully qualified as a GP and we are delighted that she will be staying on as a member of our team. Her working days are Monday 

Dr Kular is a GP Partner at the practice. She is also a GP trainer and is involved in training GP registrars. She is well liked by patients and very conscientious. She is known for being incredibly efficient and helpful within the practice and is an asset to the team.

* ON THIRD MATERNITY LEAVE FROM JULY 2023! Dr Seema is a GP Partner and graduated from UCL. She completed her GP training at Guys & St Thomas' GP training scheme in London. She is a GP trainer and graduated with a Distinction in Medical Education. She has also been involved in Havering Clinical Commissioning Group. Dr Seema received an award from Havering CCG acknowledging her contributions to community care and recognising her as a future NHS Clinical Leader. 

* ON MATERNITY LEAVE FROM JANUARY 2024 * Dr Subramanian is our Salaried GP. She has completed her training at Romford GP VTS training scheme and was a GP Registrar at the practice. We are delighted to have her as a permanent member of staff. Her working days are Mondays and Tuesdays.

Dr Sanjiv Yogarajah is a Salaried GP at the practice. He has an interest in medical education and is involved in teaching at Bart’s medical school. He is also is involved with teaching and training within the practice. We are delighted to welcome him to our team 

Our Practice Nurses are highly qualified and can deal with a range of medical conditions as well as prescribe medication, request xrays and blood tests. Before booking straight with a GP, ask reception if the Nurse may be able to deal with your problem. 

Between them, our Nurses can:

- Treat uncomplicated Chest, Skin and Urine Infections as well as any Minor Ailments

- Check Blood Pressure

- Give Diet & Lifestyle advice and Cholesterol management 

- Provide COPD/Asthma and Diabetes Management

- Provide Cervical Screening, Contraception and Sexual Health Screening 

- Administer travel immunisations 

Cathy is a Nurse Prescriber and is able to prescribe a variety of medications as well as treat infections. She has a specialist interest in Diabetes and she is competent in initiating complex treatment including Insulin when needed. In addition, Cathy can deal with minor ailments, infections and contraception requests. 

Cathy is also a stop smoking specialist. She is able to give advice on diet and lifestyle changes for patients with High Cholesterol or who are trying to lose weight.

Cathy is a good listener and particularly skilled in mental health care and talking to patients who may feel low in mood or anxious.

Ela is our practice nurse who recently joined the surgery at the end of 2023.  Ela is able to undertake diabetic and asthma annual reviews, along with giving immunisations, wound care, contraception, blood pressure checks along with other general nursing appointments.

BSc London MSc Manchester MIEM Milan

Sarah is the Business Manager and Partner. She trained at CASS Business School in London followed by a dual Masters level accreditation at the prestigious Universita Bocconi Milan and Manchester Business School in International Business and Economics. Sarah has been actively involved in NHS commissioning from the outset having been a board member of Havering Premier shadow CCG and also working in a lead role to increase patient engagement.

Sarah is always happy to receive feedback on how to improve the practice and take it forward. Whilst she loves to hear your compliments and commendations, she is also your first port of call for complaints and constructive criticisms.

Reception Manager

Laura joined us from the world of banking 7 years ago and has diligently worked her way up to the role of Reception Manager. She is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the clerical heart of the surgery. Feel free to informally raise any reception or admin issues with her and she will make sure the practice manager hears about it.

Reception Manager

Lisa joined us in 2012 and due to her job performance was immediately earmarked for a management role. She is highly skilled in referrals and admin troubleshooting and takes a lead role in reception management with co manager Laura.

BSc Economics

Stefano studied Economics at the University of Modena, Italy, graduating in 2007 with distinction. He also has further qualifications in mechanical engineering and design. He is highly skilled in Information technology and manages the surgery’s IT and accounting systems.

The ‘work horses’ and possibly most integral cogs in the surgery wheel. Most of your dealings will be with one of our specially trained medical receptionists.

Ayodeji is our Physician Associate (PA) who works alongside our doctors providing medical care as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team.  PAs work under the supervision of a doctor but can work autonomously with appropriate support.

Ayodeji is able to take medical histories from patients, carry out physical examinations, see patients with undifferentiated diagnoses, see patients with long-term conditions, formulate differential diagnoses and management plans, carry out diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, developing and delivering appropriate treatment and management plans, requesting and interpreting diagnostic studies and providing health promotion and disease prevention advice for patients.

Anita is our friendly in-house Pharmacist who can assist you with medication queries, check your Blood Pressure and update your vaccinations e.g flu jab, shingles vaccine or pneumonia vaccine. She is on hand for any advice related to medications. She usually works on Wednesdays Fridays and she has been an excellent addition to our team.

Anita is also our Clinical Performance, Compliance and Risk Manager. Her role is to ensure the practice is performing well and providing a good service to our patients. 

PCN Staff

Through the Havering South PCN Network, we have the below services available to our patients:

• Physiotherapist - can diagnose and treat muscular and joint conditions. Advise on how to manage your condition.  Refer you on to specialist service.
• Pharmacist - provides support to the team with medication and prescription queries.
• Health and Wellbeing Coach - support people to increase their ability to self-manage, motivation levels and commitment to change their lifestyle.
• Dietician - can diagnose and treat nutritional conditions.  Help you make changes to prevent and support long-term conditions.  Support you to maintain a healthy weight.
• Podiatrist: diagnose and treat a wide range of mobility and medical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. 
• Care co-ordinator - help to co-ordinate and navigate care across the health and care system, helping people make the right connections, with the right teams at the right time.
• Social Prescriber: connect patients to community-based support, including activities and services that meet practical, social, and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing. This includes connecting people to statutory services for example housing, financial and welfare advice.

A community matron is a specialist trained nurse who can visit patients at home who have complex medical needs.

Health Visitor

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
